Spaulding Academy & Family Services is looking for an innovative, energetic, and enthusiastic individual to join our Clinical team as a full-time Clinician.

Spaulding has been a leading provider of educational, residential, therapeutic, and foster care programs and services for children and youth for 150 years.  Our focus is to provide students with neurological, emotional, behavioral, learning, and developmental challenges with a safe, supportive and intensely therapeutic environment.  We provide a place of healing and growth, with a focus on the whole child.  Our approach is student centered and trauma informed with special emphasis on social and emotional learning through programs such as Choose Love.  Ours is a professional community, collaborative and open, with focus on staff development and growth in an environment that values each individual’s strengths, skills and experiences. 

Clinician responsibilities include assessing, developing, monitoring, and evaluating treatment plans, as well as providing other clinical services to our students.  We provide individual and group therapy to youth and families in residential treatment care. This individual will work alongside Behavior Analysts and Family Workers to deliver needed services to students served at Spaulding.  Clinicians engage in an interdisciplinary approach with medical staff, academic staff, residential staff, and other related service providers to produce positive outcomes for children and youth who are from hard places and experienced significant trauma and neglect.  There are opportunities to work with a variety of clinical presentations including children with emotional and behavioral disorders, intellectual disabilities, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.


  • Positive communication skills are essential
  • Report writing, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility, ability to work autonomously and with a stellar team
  • Client transportation, as needed
  • Attendance at court hearings and other meetings as they pertain to each case
  • NH Driver’s license is required

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other related degree.
  • State of NH Clinical Certification/License preferred, or must be Licensure eligible.
  • Experience working with the Department of Children Youth and Families is encouraged.
  • Experience working within a residential treatment facility is encouraged.
