The Academic team at Spaulding Academy & Family Services, is looking for exceptional individuals who want to be inspired every day by exceptional students. We have a great opportunity for a Special Education Teacher to join our full time, year round program. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7 to 3. We feature smaller classroom sizes, manager and peer support, behaviorists and case managers, as well as wrap around services such as OT, PT and SLPs. All contribute daily to working towards the most successful outcomes for our students, ages 4 to 21, who have both educational and behavioral challenges.
Spaulding Academy & Family Services is a leading provider of educational, residential, therapeutic and community based programs and services for families, and children and youth with neurological, emotional, behavioral, learning or developmental challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and those who have experienced significant trauma, abuse or neglect. Our campus is located on over 500 acres in Northfield, NH and welcome boys and girls from around the state of New Hampshire and beyond.
Requirements for the Special Education Teacher role includes:
- Bachelor’s in Education
- NH Special Education Certification (K-12)
- And, based on regulatory requirements, applicants must be 21 years of age.
- Ability to teach multi-age, multi-grade, multi-subject
- Professional Crisis Management (PCM) – Practitioner 2 Certification
- First Aid and CPR
- Medication distribution training
- Certifications and training can be obtained through Spaulding’s training programs
