Paraeducator
November 03, 2022Spaulding Academy & Family Services is happy to share that our year-round academic program is growing! We are currently hiring Fulltime and Per Diem Paraeducators. Pay rates start at $18.00 and our schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am to 3pm (with no weekends!).
Spaulding provides a place of healing and growth, with a focus on the whole child. Our approach is student centered and trauma informed with special emphasis on social and emotional learning through programs such as Choose Love. Our classrooms are small, with 8 to 10 students and a variety of ages in a non-traditional learning environment. Ours is a professional learning community, collaborative and open, with specific emphasis on staff development and growth in an environment focused on the value of each individual’s strengths, skills and experiences.
Our Paraeducators are a fundamental part of the professional academic team, contributing daily to the successful outcomes of our students. Collaborating with our Special Education Teachers and the Therapy team, you will assist in providing a well-organized, smooth functioning environment in the classrooms. Our staff participates in an active and mobile day in our busy and very gratifying setting.
Requirements include:
- Must be 21 years of age (This is based on State regulatory requirements)
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 2 years of direct experience for a Para 1, or two years of college for a Para 2
- A NH Paraeducator Certification is preferred, or we will assist you in achieving the certification within 3 months of employment
- Experience with special education is very helpful, but not a requirement
